Terms of Use

Introduction

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the AttendMeIn platform and related services.

By accessing or using AttendMeIn, the user agrees to comply with these Terms.

If you do not agree to the Terms, you should not use the service.

Definitions

• AttendMeIn: the platform, website, application and related services.
• User: any individual or legal entity using the service.
• School / Educational Organisation: the organisation using AttendMeIn for educational or administrative purposes.
• Student: the individual whose data is entered or managed through the platform.
• Parent/Guardian: a person who has an authorised relationship with a student.
• Teacher: a lecturer, teacher, tutor or other authorised educational staff member.

Account

Users are responsible for:

• the accuracy of the information they provide;
• protecting their credentials;
• not sharing their passwords;
• promptly notifying us or the relevant administrator in the event of unauthorised access.

Each user must use only the account assigned to them.

Use of the platform

The platform must only be used for lawful and authorised purposes.

The following are prohibited:

• unauthorised access;
• attempting to circumvent security mechanisms;
• introducing malicious software;
• attempting to access another user’s account;
• using the platform for illegal activity;
• unlawfully collecting data relating to other users;
• scraping or automated extraction of data without authorisation;
• impersonation;
• misuse of the platform;
• uploading illegal or harmful content.

User content

The user remains responsible for the content they enter or upload to the platform.

The user must ensure that they have the right to use and share the relevant content and that its use does not violate:

• applicable law;
• third-party rights;
• intellectual property rights;
• data protection rights.

Student data

Users and organisations entering student data must ensure that they have the necessary authorisation and lawful basis for processing such data.

Users must not enter data that is not necessary for the purpose of the service.

Intellectual property

All rights in the software, platform, design, trademarks, content and technologies of AttendMeIn, unless otherwise stated, belong to AttendMeIn or the respective rights holders.

These Terms do not transfer to the user any ownership rights in the platform.

Availability

We make reasonable efforts to ensure the availability and proper operation of the platform.

However, the service may occasionally be unavailable due to:

• maintenance;
• technical issues;
• updates;
• issues involving third-party providers;
• security incidents;
• events beyond our reasonable control.

Account suspension or termination

We may restrict or suspend access to an account where necessary for:

• security reasons;
• prevention of misuse;
• violation of the Terms;
• compliance with a legal obligation;
• protection of other users.

Where possible, appropriate notice will be provided.

Amendments to the Terms

We may amend these Terms where necessary, including due to changes to the service, technology or applicable legislation.

The new version will be published on the platform with an indication of the date of the latest update.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, unless otherwise required by mandatory provisions of applicable law.

Any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Republic of Cyprus, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights or other applicable provisions.

Acceptable use policy

AttendMeIn must be used in a safe, lawful and responsible manner.

Prohibited:

• Unauthorised access — Attempting to access accounts, data or systems without authorisation.
• Circumvention of security — Attempting to bypass authentication, access controls or other security mechanisms.
• Malicious software — Introducing viruses, malware, ransomware or other malicious code.
• Scraping — Automated collection or extraction of data without prior authorisation.
• Misuse of student data — Using or sharing student data beyond the authorised purpose.
• Impersonation — Using another person’s identity or credentials.
• Illegal content — Uploading or sharing content that violates applicable law.
• Violation of third-party rights — Using content that infringes intellectual property, privacy or other third-party rights.

Violation of this Policy may result in restriction or suspension of access to the platform and, where required, further action.

Security & data breach

Information security is a key element of AttendMeIn’s operations.

If we become aware of a security incident that may affect personal data, we will assess the incident and take appropriate measures in accordance with applicable law and our contractual obligations.

Where required by law, the necessary notifications will be made to the competent authorities and/or affected individuals.

For security reasons, we do not disclose details regarding our internal security architecture or mechanisms that could facilitate malicious access.

Payments & financial data

Where AttendMeIn provides payment-related functionalities, it may process data relating to transactions, subscriptions and payments.

Where a third-party payment service provider is used, that provider may process payment data in accordance with its own Privacy Policy and terms and conditions.

Accessibility

AttendMeIn is committed to making the platform as accessible and user-friendly as possible for all users.

Our aim is to take accessibility principles into account when designing, developing and improving the platform.
